These terms and conditions constitute the agreement between you and Hampstead Local Cars. By booking a taxi and utilizing our services, you unconditionally accept the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
1. Definitions
In this agreement, "Hampstead Local Cars," "we," or "us" refers to the service provider, and "you" and "your" refer to any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.
2. Booking
2.1 Scheduling and Punctuality: You are responsible for ensuring adequate time for your journey, especially for airport transfers requiring timely check-ins. Hampstead Local Cars shall not be held accountable for any delays resulting from your failure to allocate sufficient travel time or your unpreparedness at the scheduled pickup time.
2.2 Luggage and Passenger Count: You must request a vehicle of appropriate size to accommodate all passengers and luggage. We do not guarantee the transportation of excessive luggage. Please note that any child, regardless of age, is considered a single passenger.
2.3 Special Requests: Passengers requiring wheelchair access should notify us at the time of booking.
3. Prices & Payment
3.1 Quotations and Charges: Hampstead Local Cars provides quotes based on information provided by you. All prices, unless specified otherwise, exclude VAT, which will be charged separately if applicable. In the event of significant changes to the itinerary, we reserve the right to revise the quoted price.
3.2 Waiting and Parking Charges: Our quotes include a 45-minute waiting period after the scheduled landing time and cover airport parking costs. Any waiting time beyond this will be subject to standard Hampstead Local Cars waiting charges. While we make efforts to adjust our service in case of flight delays, it is not mandatory for us to do so.
3.3 Booking Confirmation: Upon accepting a quote, you will receive a booking confirmation. It is your responsibility to review this confirmation for accuracy. Failure to notify Hampstead Local Cars of any inaccuracies may result in delays or additional costs.
3.4 Payment Options: Payment for our services can be made in cash, by credit card, or debit card.
4. The Service
4.1 Passenger Behavior: You are accountable for the conduct of all passengers during the journey. Any passenger-caused damage, soiling, or disruption to the vehicle may incur cleaning charges.
4.2 Prohibited Activities: Eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed in the vehicle.
4.3 Child Safety: All children must be appropriately restrained according to their age, height, and weight.
4.4 Passenger Limitation: We cannot carry more passengers than allowed by licensing or insurance regulations.
5. Cancellations
5.1 Cancellation Policy: In case you need to cancel your booking with Hampstead Local Cars, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation charges may apply if you cancel after the vehicle has been dispatched, based on the driver's distance and time.
5.2 Online Bookings: For online bookings, cancellation charges may be applied if you cancel before the vehicle is dispatched.
6. Liability
6.1 Delays and Losses: While we strive to ensure timely arrivals, we are not liable for losses resulting from delays beyond our control. Hampstead Local Cars is not responsible for any losses incurred by you or your business.
6.2 Luggage Responsibility: Your luggage is carried at your own risk.
6.3 Vehicle Breakdown: In the event of a vehicle breakdown during your journey, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative vehicle to complete your trip promptly.
6.4 Indemnification: You shall not hold Hampstead Local Cars liable for expenses, damages, costs, or losses arising from the actions or omissions of anyone in your party.
6.5 Liability Limitations: No party can exclude or limit liability for personal injury, death caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful default, or any matter deemed unenforceable by applicable laws.
7. Termination
7.1 Termination Rights: We reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking immediately if the vehicle or driver is put at risk by abuse, violence, or damage from you or any other passenger. No refunds will be provided for terminated journeys.
8. Miscellaneous
8.1 Subcontracting: Hampstead Local Cars may subcontract its obligations under this agreement. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer your rights or obligations under this agreement.
8.2 Changes to Terms and Conditions: Hampstead Local Cars may modify the terms and conditions at any time by updating this page. It is your responsibility to regularly review these terms and conditions to stay informed of any changes. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.
8.3 Data Protection: We handle information in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988.
8.4 Entire Agreement: This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Hampstead Local Cars and yourself.
8.5 No Third-Party Rights: These terms and conditions do not confer any benefits to third parties. No third party has the right to enforce rights under this agreement unless agreed upon in writing.
9. Disputes
Any dispute or claim must be made within 30 days from the booking pickup date. Claims or disputes made after this timeframe may not be entertained by Hampstead Local Cars.
